Cutlery made from PSM (PLA Starch Material) is an unrefined form of PLA bio-plastics. Can withstand high temperatures, so suitable for hot foods.

Although corn starch is a renewable resource (unlike oil based plastics), to get the full benefit from using PLA, these forks must be composted in properly maintained facilities. Degradation will take between 60 and 180 days in such conditions. They will not degrade in a land fill site.
